Free will and Destiny represent two different ways of understanding how our lives unfold and the extent to which we have control over our choices and outcomes.
Free will is the idea we can make our own choices and decisions, independent of any predetermined fate or destiny. We are not puppets on a string and possess the power to shape our own lives through our actions and determination.
Destiny is the idea that our lives are predetermined and our choices and outcomes are already set in stone. It suggests that there is a plan or path we are meant to follow and we have no control over the events that unfold in our lives.
The truth is somewhere in the middle; we are the masters of our fate and also a passenger on life’s journey
Free Will is the choice to respond to or resist the journey we are on. We are responsible for our actions as well as the consequences. If we are destined, then is what we do meaningless if we are playing out a role that has already been written?
Free Will feels like interference within our body, whereas Destiny feels good. Learn to read your body’s messages. The two concepts of Free Will and Destiny are not mutually exclusive. We have the free will to make choices, but those choices may ultimately lead us toward a path that is predetermined.
